Traffic Advisory Jammu-Srinagar NH-44 and Other Key Routes for 21 Feb, 2025

Subject to fair weather and better road conditions, LMVs, passenger/private cars, and HMVs shall be allowed from both sides on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway (NH-44), viz., from Jammu towards Srinagar and vice versa. TCU Jammu/Srinagar shall liaise with TCU Ramban for road conditions. Commuters must check the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway (NH-44) status at the J&K Traffic Police Twitter handle and Facebook page.

SFs Convoy Movement: –

Subject to fair weather and good road conditions, Security Forces vehicles shall be allowed from both sides on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway (NH-44), viz., Jammu towards Srinagar and vice versa.

Kishtwar-Sinthan-Anantnag NH-244:

The Kishtwar-Sinthan-Anantnag road is closed for vehicular movement per Sub-Divisional Magistrate Kokernag’s advisory endstt. No. SDM/KNG/2024-25/3139-45 dated 16-01-2025.

SSG ROAD: –

The Srinagar-Sonamarg-Gumari road is closed due to continuous snowfall. The decision regarding vehicular movement on SSG road shall be taken tomorrow after getting a green signal from road maintenance agencies.

Mughal Road:

Mughal Road is closed for vehicular movement as per District Magistrate Poonch’s order endstt. No. DMP/JC/7273-92 dated 18-01-2025 because of snow accumulation.

Bhaderwah-Chamba Road:

Bhaderwah-Chamba Road is still closed due to snow accumulation.

People are advised to undertake the journey only after confirming the status of the road. From traffic control units as under:
