Citroën India expands its lineup with two new "Made to Order" variants: the practical C3 Aircross Max 5-Seater with a large boot, and the value-packed C3 Live (O).

Key Highlights

  • Aircross X Max 5S: Launched at ₹12.41 Lakh; pairs top-end features with a dedicated 5-seat layout.
  • C3 Live (O): Launched at ₹5.49 Lakh; a surprise value package adding a 10.2-inch screen to the budget trim.
  • Availability: These specific variants are “Made to Order” (produced only on confirmed booking).
  • Engine: Aircross gets the 1.2L Turbo; C3 Live (O) comes with the 1.2L NA Petrol.

(Mumbai/Delhi): Responding to customer feedback for more flexibility in seating and better value propositions, Citroën India has introduced critical updates to its C3 and Aircross X range.

1. Citroen Aircross X Max Turbo 5S (5-Seater)

Until now, the top-spec “Max” variant of the Aircross SUV was primarily pushed with the 5+2 (7-seater) layout. Buyers who wanted the top-end features but a larger boot (without the jump seats) had limited options.

  • Price: ₹12.41 Lakh (ex-showroom).
  • The Upgrade: This variant brings the “Max” trim goodies—10.25-inch touchscreen, digital instrument cluster, alloy wheels, and rear camera—to the dedicated 5-seater configuration.
  • Benefit: It offers a massive boot space (approx 444-511 liters) for travelers who prioritize luggage over extra passengers.

2. Citroen C3 Live (O) – The New Value Disruptor

The C3 hatchback gets a new second-from-base variant that bridges the gap between the entry-level Live and the mid-spec Feel, but with a surprising twist in features.

  • Price: ₹5.49 Lakh (ex-showroom).
  • Positioning: Priced roughly ₹54,000 higher than the base Live trim.
  • Features: While the base Live is bare-bones, the Live (O) offers incredible value. It upgrades the package to include:
    • 10.2-inch Touchscreen Infotainment (Wireless Android Auto/Apple CarPlay).
    • Rear View Camera.
    • Leatherette Upholstery.
    • This makes it one of the most affordable cars in India to feature a 10+ inch screen.

3. The “Made to Order” Strategy

In a unique move to optimize inventory, Citroën has announced that these two specific variants will not be mass-stocked at dealerships.

  • Production: Units will be manufactured only after a customer places a confirmed booking.
  • Waiting Period: Buyers opting for these specific trims should expect a slightly longer delivery timeline compared to standard variants like the ‘Feel’ or ‘Shine’.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q: What is the price difference between Aircross Max 5-Seater and 7-Seater?

A: The Aircross X Max Turbo 5-Seater (₹12.41 Lakh) is roughly ₹35,000–₹40,000 cheaper than its 7-seater counterpart, offering savings for those who don’t need the 3rd row.

Q: Does the C3 Live (O) get a touchscreen?

A: Yes. Contrary to usual budget trends, Citroën has equipped the Live (O) with the large 10.2-inch touchscreen and a rear camera, distinguishing it significantly from the base ‘Live’ trim.

Q: Which engine powers the Aircross X Max?

A: It is powered by the 1.2L Gen-3 PureTech Turbo Petrol engine, delivering 110 PS power and 190 Nm torque, mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox.
