The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has confirmed that while Wednesday (Jan 28) will remain unsettled with scattered showers, the worst of the pollution is over.

The Western Disturbance affecting North India has triggered light rainfall across the capital, effectively acting as a natural air purifier.

  • AQI Update: The air quality has improved significantly, moving out of the “Severe” zone.
  • Today’s Forecast (Jan 28): Expect a high of 19.6°C and a low of 12.9°C. The day will remain cloudy with intermittent showers. Humidity will stay high at around 80%.

The Forecast: When Will the Sun Return?

  • Saturday: Sunny and bright. Perfect for picnics. (High: 24.1°C).
  • Sunday: The warmest day of the week (25.8°C) coinciding with the Full Moon (Magha Purnima).

Why This Matters To You

  • Health: This is the best window for morning walks and outdoor exercise in weeks. The lungs get a break from the hazardous PM2.5 levels.

  • Planning: Jan 29 to Feb 1 is flagged as the “Best Period” for outdoor events.

Key Highlights Box

  • 🚨 Status: Rainy/Cloudy (Jan 28).
  • 🌤️ Relief: Sunny Days return from Jan 29 (Thursday).

  • 💡 Action: Plan your weekend outing for Sunday (Feb 1).
