Jammu: The Traffic Police Headquarters, J&K has said the Jammu–Srinagar National Highway (NH-44) will remain closed today (Sunday, January 25, 2026) due to snow accumulation between Nachlana and the Navyug Tunnel in the Banihal area of Ramban district.
The closure is expected to disrupt travel for commuters and goods movement between Jammu and the Kashmir Valley.

In its Traffic Plan & Advisory for 25-01-2026, Traffic Police Headquarters stated that NH-44 is still closed due to snow accumulation between Nachlana and the Navyug Tunnel, and that snow clearance work is going on.
Traffic Police also said no vehicular movement will be allowed today from Nagrota (Jammu) towards Doda, Ramban, Banihal and Srinagar, and vice-versa.
The advisory also noted that the Jammu–Doda road remains closed.
