The closure has been announced to ensure security and smooth traffic management during President Droupadi Murmu’s visit to the Biraja Temple.

  • Classes 1 to 8: Reopening after February 28, 2026

Education officials have clarified that board examinations will be conducted as per schedule, and schools will open only for exam‑related activities where required.

(Clarification: The recent “extension” news applied only to the Jammu Summer Zone, which has already concluded.)

  • Punjab & Haryana: Schools are functioning normally after winter vacations, with only local exceptions if notified.
  • Maharashtra: Schools in Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur, and other districts are open, with no state‑wide holiday announced.
