From December 13 to 17, the weather is expected to remain partly to generally cloudy, with the possibility of:

  • Very light snowfall,
  • At isolated higher reaches,
  • Mostly during late night and early morning hours,

The MeT Department also warned that shallow to moderate fog is likely in:

  • Several areas of the Kashmir Valley

This could reduce visibility during the early morning and late evening hours, potentially affecting road travel.

The weather is likely to remain partly to generally cloudy on December 18 and 19.
A fresh spell of light rain or snowfall is expected at:

  • Scattered places in Kashmir, and
  • Isolated locations in Jammu,

between December 20 and 21, depending on system movement.

⚠️ Advisory for Residents & Travelers

  • Expect colder temperatures during mornings and nights.
  • Travelers heading to higher reaches should stay updated on road conditions.
  • Visibility may be affected due to fog, particularly on major highways.

The Meteorological Department will issue further updates based on developments in weather patterns.
