Traffic Plan & Advisory For Dec 02, 2025
Traffic Status
From 30-11-2025 (1600 hrs) to 01-12-2025 (1600 hrs), slow movement was observed on NH-44 due to:
- Single-lane traffic at Balinalla, Dewal, Nashri-Dalwas, and between Marog and Kishtwari Pather
- Mechanical breakdown of two HMVs on the highway
General Advisory for Commuters
- Passengers and LMV operators are advised to undertake travel on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway during daytime.
- Avoid travelling during night hours, as the movement of HMVs between Nashri Tunnel and NAVYUG Tunnel may cause inconvenience.
- Commuters are strictly advised to follow lane discipline.
Overtaking and wrong-lane driving may lead to congestion.
Jammu–Srinagar National Highway (NH-44)
Subject to fair weather and better road conditions, LMVs (Passenger), HPVs, Private Cars, and HMVs (Goods carriers) shall be allowed to move from both sides, i.e., Jammu towards Srinagar and vice-versa.
- TCU Jammu and TCU Srinagar shall coordinate with TCU Ramban regarding the current road status.
Security Forces Convoy Movement
Subject to fair weather and good road conditions, SF vehicles shall be allowed to move from both sides on NH-44.
- Convoys shall move only after confirming the status of the National Highway from TCU Ramban.
Kishtwar–Sinthan–Anantnag Road (NH-244)
Subject to fair weather and good road conditions, and after a green signal from NHIDCL, only LMVs shall be allowed to travel from both sides.
- Movement permitted from PP Parana and PP Daksum between 1000 hrs and 1500 hrs.
SSG Road (Srinagar–Sonamarg–Gumari)
Subject to fair weather and clearance from the BRO, regulated traffic movement shall be allowed as follows:
- Minamarg → Srinagar: LMVs followed by HMVs from 0500 hrs to 1000 hrs
- Sonamarg → Kargil: LMVs followed by HMVs from 1130 hrs to 1730 hrs
- No vehicle shall be permitted after the cut-off timing
SF convoys travelling between Srinagar and Kargil shall plan movement so that civil traffic (UP & DOWN) is not disturbed.
Mughal Road
Subject to fair weather and road clearance from GREF, LMVs (Passenger/Private Cars) shall be allowed from both sides, i.e., Jammu towards Srinagar and vice-versa via Poonch.
- Behramgala (Bafliaz): 0600 hrs to 1730 hrs
- Herpora (Shopian): 0600 hrs to 1700 hrs
As per the advisory issued by District Magistrate Poonch vide No. DMP/J/9291-9318 dated 31-08-2025:
- HMVs (six tyres only) shall be permitted from Shopian towards Poonch
- No HMV shall be allowed from Poonch towards Mughal Road
TCU Jammu and TCU Srinagar will update all concerned regarding cut-off timings and further instructions.
