Due to severe weather, the government will probably extend school winter vacation until March 5 in the Kashmir division.
Education Minister Sakina Itoo indicated that the government will convene a meeting in this respect tomorrow.
“Keeping in view the prevailing weather conditions, we are going to hold a meeting tomorrow regarding the extension of winter vacations for schools in the Kashmir division,” Itoo said.
The minister further said that keeping in view students’ health and safety, they will make decisions accordingly.
“If weather conditions do not improve, we may consider a five-day extension in vacation for primary level classes, and in case there is more snowfall, we will consider extending the vacation until March 5 for all classes,” she said.
