Rising in Dearness Allowance in October
Earlier, the Vishnudev Sai government of Chhattisgarh had boosted the dearness allowance of the state employees by 4% in October before Diwali. Consequently, the government increased the Dearness Allowance (DA) from 46% to 50%. The changed tariffs were implemented beginning on October 1, 2024. DA has again increased by 3%; the new rates will be pertinent starting in March 2025. In such a situation, the DA of state personnel and the Center might vary by 2 to 3 percent even if the Central Government is ready to raise DA once more in January 2025 in March.
