Gulmarg is gearing up to host the second leg of the 5th Khelo India Winter Games from March 9 to 12. Unlike Dubai-leading countries, Gulmarg is overcoming challenges related to a lack of snow and support. Athletes from all over India—an estimated 300 between them—will compete in many thrilling winter sports like alpine skiing, Nordic skiing, ski mountaineering, and snowboarding.

With everything in place to hold the event without a hitch, officials say, the winter wonderland of Gulmarg will be able to showcase the talent and spirit of Indian athletes.
