TRAFFIC PLAN & ADVISORY FOR 22-12-2025:-
From 20-12-2025, 1600 hrs. to 21-12-2025, 1600 hrs., there was slow movement observed on Jammu-Srinagar Natoinal Highway (NH-44) due to single lane traffic at Balinalla, Dewal, Nashri-Dalwas and between Marog and Kishtwari Pather, in addition to the breakdown of 03 HMVs on NH-44.
In view of inclement weather prediction issued by MeT Deptt. a spell of snowfall/rainfall for next few days. People are advised to undertake journey only after confirming the status of road from TCU Srinagar/Ramban/Jammu and check status of roads at J&K Traffic Police Twitter handle and face book page.
Passengers/LMVs operators are advised to prefer journey on Jammu-Srinagar NHW during day time . Please avoid journey during night hours as the movement of HMVs between Nashri tunnel and NAVYUG Tunnel may cause inconvenience to the commuters.
Commuters are advised to follow lane discipline; overtaking, wrong lane driving will cause congestion.
Jammu-Srinagar National Highway (NH-44)
Subject to fair weather and better road conditions, LMVs Passenger/HPSVs/Private Cars/HMVs (Good carrier) shall be allowed from both sides on Jammu-Srinagar National (NH-44) viz from Jammu towards Srinagar and vice-versa. TCU Jammu/Srinagar shall coordinate with TCU Ramban regarding the road condition.
SFs Convoy Movement:-
Subject to fair weather and good road condition, Security Forces vehicles shall be allowed from both sides on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway (NH-44) viz Jammu towards Srinagar and vice-versa. They shall move after after confirming the status of NHW from TCU Ramban.
Kishtwar- Sinthan- Anantnag NH-244:-
Kishtwar-Sinthan-Anantnag road is closed for vehicular movement due to snow accumulation.
SSG ROAD:-
Srinagar-Sonamarg-Gumari road is closed for vehicular movement due to snow accumulation.
Mughal Road:-
Mughal road is closed for vehicular movement due to snow accumulation.
