Traffic Plan & Advisory For Nov 15, 2025 Jammu Srinagar National Highway (NH-44)

Jammu–Srinagar National Highway (NH-44)

Subject to fair weather and improved road conditions, LMVs (passenger vehicles), HPVs, private cars, and HMVs (goods carriers) shall be allowed to travel from both sides on the Jammu–Srinagar National Highway (NH-44), i.e., from Jammu towards Srinagar and vice versa.

  • TCU Jammu and TCU Srinagar will coordinate with TCU Ramban regarding the latest road condition.

Security Forces Convoy Movement

Subject to fair weather and good road conditions, Security Forces vehicles will be permitted to move both ways on NH-44.

  • Convoys shall proceed only after confirming the status of the highway from TCU Ramban.

Kishtwar–Sinthan–Anantnag Road (NH-244)

Subject to fair weather and after receiving a green signal from NHIDCL, only LMVs shall be allowed to move from both sides — Anantnag towards Kishtwar and vice versa.

  • Vehicle movement will be allowed from PP Parana and PP Daksum between 1000 hrs and 1500 hrs.

Srinagar–Sonamarg–Gumari (SSG) Road

Subject to fair weather and clearance from BRO, traffic shall be allowed in a regulated manner on the Srinagar–Sonamarg–Gumari road.

  • From Minamarg to Srinagar: LMVs followed by HMVs allowed from 0500 hrs to 1000 hrs
  • From Sonamarg to Kargil: LMVs followed by HMVs allowed from 1130 hrs to 1730 hrs
  • No vehicle shall be permitted after the cut-off timings.

Security Forces convoys moving between Srinagar and Kargil must plan their journey so that civilian traffic (both up and down) is not disrupted.


Mughal Road

Subject to fair weather and clearance from GREF, LMVs (passenger/private cars) shall be allowed to move both ways — from Jammu towards Srinagar and vice versa via Poonch.

  • From Behramgala (Bafliaz): 0600 hrs to 1730 hrs
  • From Herpora (Shopian): 0600 hrs to 1700 hrs
  • As per advisory issued by District Magistrate Poonch vide No. DMP/J/9291-9318 dated 31-08-2025.

HMVs (six tyres only) shall be allowed from Shopian towards Poonch.

  • No HMV will be allowed from Poonch towards Mughal Road.

TCU Jammu and TCU Srinagar will inform all concerned about the latest traffic advisories and cut-off timings.
