Jammu-Srinagar National Highway (NH-44)
Subject to favorable weather and improved road conditions, Light Motor Vehicles (LMVs), passenger cars, private vehicles, and Heavy Motor Vehicles (HMVs) will be permitted to travel in both directions on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway (NH-44). Traffic Control Units (TCU) in Jammu and Srinagar will coordinate with TCU Ramban for real-time road condition updates. Travelers are advised to check the latest status of NH-44 on the J&K Traffic Police’s official Twitter handle and Facebook page.
Security Forces Convoy Movement
If weather and road conditions remain favorable, security forces’ convoys will be allowed to move in both directions on NH-44 between Jammu and Srinagar.
Kishtwar-Sinthan-Anantnag NH-244
As per the advisory issued by the Sub-Divisional Magistrate of Kokernag (reference number SDM/KNG/2024-25/3139-45 dated 16-01-2025), the Kishtwar-Sinthan-Anantnag road remains closed to vehicular movement.
Srinagar-Sonamarg-Gumari (SSG) Road
The SSG Road is currently closed due to snowfall. A decision on reopening will be taken based on updates from road maintenance agencies.
Mughal Road
In accordance with the District Magistrate of Poonch’s order (reference number DMP/JC/7273-92 dated 18-01-2025), the Mughal Road remains closed due to snow accumulation.
Bhaderwah-Chamba Road
The Bhaderwah-Chamba Road remains inaccessible due to snow accumulation.
