Jammu-Srinagar National Highway (NH-44):
Traffic movement on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway (NH-44) is subject to favorable weather and improved road conditions. Light Motor Vehicles (LMVs), passenger cars, private vehicles, and Heavy Motor Vehicles (HMVs) will be allowed from both directions—Jammu to Srinagar and vice-versa. Coordination between Traffic Control Units (TCUs) in Jammu, Srinagar, and Ramban will determine the road’s condition. Commuters are advised to check the latest updates on the J&K Traffic Police Twitter handle and Facebook page.

Kishtwar-Sinthan-Anantnag National Highway (NH-244):
The Kishtwar-Sinthan-Anantnag road remains closed for vehicular movement based on the Sub-Divisional Magistrate Kokernag’s advisory (No. SDM/KNG/2024-25/313945) dated January 16, 2025.

Srinagar-Sonamarg-Gumari Road (SSG Road):
Provided the weather remains fair and road conditions are favorable, one-way traffic will be permitted on the SSG Road. Light Motor Vehicles (LMVs), followed by Heavy Motor Vehicles (HMVs) up to 6 tires, with anti-skid chains, will be allowed from Kargil towards Srinagar. Vehicles will only be permitted between 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM from Minamarg to Srinagar. Vehicles arriving after the cutoff time will not be allowed. All motorists are strongly advised to carry anti-skid chains for better traction on slippery surfaces.

Mughal Road:
The Mughal Road is closed for vehicular movement as per the District Magistrate Poonch’s order (No. DMP/JC/7273-92) dated January 18, 2025, due to heavy snow accumulation.

Bhaderwah-Chamba Road:
This road remains closed due to persistent snow accumulation.
