If you have banking tasks to complete, take note—all banks across India will be closed on Saturday, February 8, 2025. The reason? It’s the second Saturday of the month, a scheduled holiday for banks as per RBI guidelines.

Banks across all states, including Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Rajasthan, Gujarat, and Madhya Pradesh, will remain closed on this day. Customers should plan their banking activities accordingly to avoid inconvenience.

Complete List of Bank Holidays in February 2025

Weekend Bank Holidays

  • Saturday-Sunday, February 8-9 – Second Saturday and weekly holiday
  • Sunday, February 16 – Weekly holiday
  • Saturday-Sunday, February 22-23 – Fourth Saturday and weekly holiday

State-Specific Bank Holidays Announced by RBI

  • Tuesday, February 11 – Banks closed in Chennai (Thaipusam)
  • Wednesday, February 12 – Banks closed in Shimla (Sant Ravidas Jayanti)
  • Saturday, February 15 – Banks closed in Imphal (Loi-Ngai-Ni)
  • Wednesday, February 19 – Banks closed in Belapur, Mumbai, and Nagpur (Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti)
  • Thursday, February 20 – Banks closed in Aizawl and Itanagar (State Day)
  • Wednesday, February 26 – Banks closed in multiple cities including Ahmedabad, Aizawl, Bengaluru, Belapur, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Dehradun, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Jammu, Kanpur, Kochi, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, Raipur, Ranchi, Shimla, Srinagar, and Thiruvananthapuram (Mahashivratri)
