Passengers/LMV operators are advised to journey on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway (NH-44) during the daytime, as there is apprehension of shooting stones between Ramban and Banihal.

Goods carrier (HMV/LMV) operators carrying fresh perishable/livestock are advised to load their vehicle as per the advisory issued by Traffic Police Headquarters occasionally, as there is single-lane traffic and poor road conditions at Dalwas, Mehad, and between Marog & Kishtwari Pather on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway (NH-44).

HMV operators/owners are requested to avoid overloading and carry sufficient fuel during the journey on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway (NH-44). It is further requested that vehicle owners double-check the fitness of their vehicles and carry sufficient fuel before undertaking a journey on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway (NH-44).

HMVs with only 6 and 10 tires shall be allowed to ply through Dhar Road.

We advise commuters to avoid stopping between Ramban and Banihal, particularly near the landslide/shooting stone area.

TRAFFIC PLAN & ADVISORY FOR 02-03-2025: –

Jammu Srinagar National Highway (NH-44): LMVs (passenger/private cars) shall be allowed from both directions, from Jammu to Srinagar and vice versa, subject to fair weather and better road conditions. However, after assessing the road conditions, we will allow HMVs (load carriers) to travel from Jakheni (Udhampur) to Srinagar. TCU Jammu/Srinagar shall liaise with TCU Ramban for road conditions. Commuters must check the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway (NH-44) status at the J&K Traffic Police Twitter handle and Facebook page.

SFs Convoy Movement: –

Security forces are advised/requested not to ply against the advisory/traffic plan because of possible traffic congestion due to the narrow carriageway between Nashree and Banihal on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway (NH-44). Tomorrow, they may ply from Jammu to Srinagar after confirming the status of the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway (NH-44) from TCU Ramban.

Kishtwar-Sinthan-Anantnag NH-244:
