TRAFFIC POLICE HEADQUARTERS, J&K, JAMMU/SRINAGAR
From 28-02-2025, 1700 hrs. to 01-03-2025, 1700 hrs., Jammu-Srinagar National Highway (NH-44) remained blocked for 20 hrs. due to shooting stones/landslides between Nashri and NAVYUG Tunnel. The slow movement was observed on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway (NH-44) due to single-lane traffic at Dalwas, Mehad, between Marog and Kishtwari Pather and four-lane construction work.
Passengers/LMV operators are advised to journey on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway (NH-44) during the daytime, as there is apprehension of shooting stones between Ramban and Banihal.
Goods carrier (HMV/LMV) operators carrying fresh perishable/livestock are advised to load their vehicle as per the advisory issued by Traffic Police Headquarters occasionally, as there is single-lane traffic and poor road conditions at Dalwas, Mehad, and between Marog & Kishtwari Pather on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway (NH-44).
HMV operators/owners are requested to avoid overloading and carry sufficient fuel during the journey on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway (NH-44). It is further requested that vehicle owners double-check the fitness of their vehicles and carry sufficient fuel before undertaking a journey on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway (NH-44).
HMVs with only 6 and 10 tires shall be allowed to ply through Dhar Road.
We advise commuters to avoid stopping between Ramban and Banihal, particularly near the landslide/shooting stone area.
