Authorities have issued a new traffic plan for 11 December 2025, covering the Jammu–Srinagar National Highway (NH-44), Mughal Road, SSG Road, and the Kishtwar–Sinthan–Anantnag route. Travelers are advised to plan their journey carefully as multiple stretches on NH-44—Balinalla, Dewal, Nashri–Dalwas, and Marog–Kishtwari Pather—continue to witness slow movement due to single-lane traffic and recent HMV breakdowns.
Officials have urged commuters, especially LMV passengers, to travel during daytime and avoid night movement because of HMV traffic between Nashri and Navyug tunnels and the seasonal migration of nomadic groups. Lane discipline is strictly advised as overtaking may lead to additional congestion.
If weather and road conditions permit, LMVs, HPSVs, private vehicles, and goods carriers will be allowed from both Jammu and Srinagar sides. Security Force convoys will also move after clearance from TCU Ramban.
The Kishtwar–Sinthan–Anantnag road (NH-244) will remain open for LMVs between 10 AM and 3 PM, while the SSG Road will see regulated movement between Minamarg, Sonamarg, and Kargil within fixed time slots. Mughal Road will allow LMVs from both sides, but HMVs (six tyres only) are permitted exclusively from Shopian towards Poonch.
Travelers are urged to check the latest updates from Traffic Control Units before starting their journey to avoid delays or disruptions.
