Traffic Plan & Advisory For Dec 05, 2025
Traffic Status – NH-44
From 03-12-2025 (1600 hrs) to 04-12-2025 (1600 hrs), slow movement was observed on NH-44 due to:
- Single-lane traffic at Balinalla, Dewal, Nashri-Dalwas, and between Marog and Kishtwari Pather
- Breakdown of 03 HMVs on the highway
General Travel Advisory
- Passengers and LMV operators are advised to prefer travel on Jammu–Srinagar National Highway (NH-44) during daytime.
- Avoid travelling at night, as HMV movement between Nashri Tunnel and NAVYUG Tunnel, along with migration of nomads from Kashmir valley towards Jammu, may cause inconvenience.
- Lane discipline is mandatory.
Overtaking and wrong-lane driving may lead to severe congestion.
Jammu–Srinagar National Highway (NH-44)
Subject to fair weather and better road conditions, LMVs (Passenger), HPSVs, Private Cars, and HMVs (Goods carriers) shall be allowed to move from both sides (Jammu ↔ Srinagar).
- TCU Jammu and TCU Srinagar shall coordinate with TCU Ramban regarding current road status.
Security Forces Convoy Movement
Subject to fair weather and good road conditions, SF convoys shall be permitted from both sides on NH-44 (Jammu ↔ Srinagar).
- Movement shall take place only after confirmation from TCU Ramban.
Kishtwar–Sinthan–Anantnag Road (NH-244)
Subject to fair weather and road clearance from NHIDCL, only LMVs shall be allowed from both sides (Anantnag ↔ Kishtwar).
- Movement shall be allowed from PP Parana and PP Daksum between 1000 hrs and 1500 hrs.
SSG Road (Srinagar–Sonamarg–Gumari)
After obtaining clearance from BRO and subject to good weather:
- Minamarg → Srinagar: LMVs followed by HMVs permitted from 0500 hrs to 1000 hrs
- Sonamarg → Kargil: LMVs followed by HMVs permitted from 1130 hrs to 1730 hrs
- No vehicle will be allowed after the cut-off timing
SF convoys travelling between Srinagar and Kargil shall plan movement to ensure civilian UP and DOWN traffic is not disturbed.
Mughal Road
Subject to favorable weather and road clearance from GREF, LMVs (Passenger/Private Cars) shall be allowed to travel from both sides, i.e., Jammu ↔ Srinagar via Poonch.
- Behramgala (Bafliaz): 0600 hrs to 1730 hrs
- Herpora (Shopian): 0600 hrs to 1700 hrs
As per District Magistrate Poonch Advisory No. DMP/J/9291-9318 dated 31-08-2025:
- HMVs (six tyres only) shall be permitted from Shopian towards Poonch
- No HMV shall be allowed from Poonch towards Mughal Road
TCU Jammu and TCU Srinagar will update all concerned about further traffic notifications and cut-off timings.
