SHARE

1. Jammu–Srinagar National Highway (NH-44):
Subject to fair weather and improved road conditions, LMVs (passenger vehicles), HPVs, private cars, and HMVs (goods carriers) will be allowed from both directions — Jammu to Srinagar and vice versa.

  • Traffic Control Units (TCU) at Jammu and Srinagar will coordinate with TCU Ramban to confirm the latest road status.

Security Forces Convoy Movement:
Security Forces (SFs) vehicles will also be permitted to travel both ways on NH-44, subject to good weather and road conditions. Movements must be planned after confirming NHW status from TCU Ramban.

2. Kishtwar–Sinthan–Anantnag Road (NH-244):
Subject to favorable weather and after clearance from NHIDCL, only LMVs will be allowed from both sides — Anantnag to Kishtwar and vice versa.

  • Timings:
    • From PP Parana to Anantnag: 08:00 hrs to 15:00 hrs
    • From PP Daksum to Kishtwar: 09:00 hrs to 15:00 hrs
  • Movement as per orders:
    • SDM Chhatroo: No. SDM/C/2025-26/530-37 (15-09-2025)
    • SDM Kokernag: No. SDM/KNG/665-71 (16-05-2025)

3. Srinagar–Sonamarg–Gumari (SSG) Road:
Traffic will be allowed in a regulated manner after receiving clearance from BRO, subject to fair weather and good road conditions.

  • From Minamarg to Srinagar: 05:00 hrs – 10:00 hrs (LMVs followed by HMVs)
  • From Sonamarg to Kargil: 11:30 hrs – 17:30 hrs (LMVs followed by HMVs)
  • No vehicle will be allowed after the cut-off timings.
Security Forces convoys should plan their movements to ensure civilian traffic is not disrupted.

4. Mughal Road:
After clearance from GREF and subject to fair weather, LMVs (passenger/private vehicles) will be allowed from both directions (Jammu ↔ Srinagar via Poonch).

  • From Behramgala (Bafliaz): 06:00 hrs – 17:30 hrs
  • From Herpora (Shopian): 06:00 hrs – 17:00 hrs
  • HMVs (six tyres only) will be allowed from Shopian to Poonch; no HMV movement permitted in the opposite direction.
As per District Magistrate Poonch advisory No. DMP/J/9291-9318 dated 31-08-2025.
TCU Jammu and Srinagar will keep all concerned updated about the latest advisories and cut-off timings.
