Jammu-Srinagar National Highway (NH-44)
Highway Status:
- Open for traffic (subject to fair weather and road conditions).
- Light Motor Vehicles (LMVs), passenger/private cars, and Heavy Motor Vehicles (HMVs) will be allowed to travel from both Jammu and Srinagar.
- Traffic Control Units (TCU) in Jammu and Srinagar will coordinate with TCU Ramban for real-time road conditions.
- Travelers are advised to check updates on the J&K Traffic Police Twitter and Facebook pages before starting their journey.
Security Forces Convoy Movement:
- Allowed from both sides (Jammu to Srinagar and vice versa), provided road conditions remain favorable.
Road Closures:
Kishtwar-Sinthan-Anantnag Highway (NH-244)
๐ซ Closed for all traffic as per the advisory from the Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Kokernag (Order No. SDM/KNG/2024-25/3139-45, dated 16-01-2025).
Srinagar-Sonamarg-Gumari (SSG) Road
๐ซ Closed due to heavy snow accumulation.
โ A decision on reopening will be made tomorrow after clearance confirmation from maintenance agencies.
Mughal Road
๐ซ Closed for all vehicular movement as per the District Magistrate, Poonchโs order (Order No. DMP/JC/7273-92, dated 18-01-2025) due to snow accumulation.
Bhaderwah-Chamba Road
๐ซ Remains closed due to snow accumulation.
