Jammu-Srinagar National Highway (NH-44)
Highway Status:
- Open for traffic (subject to fair weather and road conditions).
- Light Motor Vehicles (LMVs), passenger/private cars, and Heavy Motor Vehicles (HMVs) will be allowed to travel from both Jammu and Srinagar.
- Traffic Control Units (TCU) in Jammu and Srinagar will coordinate with TCU Ramban for real-time road conditions.
- Travelers are advised to check updates on the J&K Traffic Police Twitter and Facebook pages before starting their journey.
Security Forces Convoy Movement:
- Allowed from both sides (Jammu to Srinagar and vice versa), provided road conditions remain favorable.
Road Closures:
Kishtwar-Sinthan-Anantnag Highway (NH-244)
🚫 Closed for all traffic as per the advisory from the Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Kokernag (Order No. SDM/KNG/2024-25/3139-45, dated 16-01-2025).
Srinagar-Sonamarg-Gumari (SSG) Road
🚫 Closed due to heavy snow accumulation.
✔ A decision on reopening will be made tomorrow after clearance confirmation from maintenance agencies.
Mughal Road
🚫 Closed for all vehicular movement as per the District Magistrate, Poonch’s order (Order No. DMP/JC/7273-92, dated 18-01-2025) due to snow accumulation.
Bhaderwah-Chamba Road
🚫 Remains closed due to snow accumulation.
